Tiruchirappalli/Trichy India part 3

Hi!

I'm back with the story of my trip to Trichy India part 3. And this is the last part. Yay!

Both day 3 and day 4 stories and photos are combined here. So, this will be a loooong entry.

 Hehe hopefully you'll made it to the end of my priceless experience even though it might sound boring/unexciting because of my broken English and mix of languages. heee ^o^

Day 3

As you all know (if you've read the previous post), this was a pilgrimage visit to India, but for me this is a tour to learn about their culture, religion and the people. Not much memories of the temples we visited ; almost the same ritual for every temples, the crowd, barefooted, the Hindu temples architecture and the atmosphere (the people). Nevertheless, it was a great experience for me. 

So today i'll just share with you guys some of the photos that have their interesting stories throughout these last 2 days. 

9.00am : First station, holy bath at Thirunallar, Puducherry. Saneeswaran Temple. Water and bathing have their special significance in Hinduism. A holy bath in the waters of the sacred rivers are believed to purifies the bather of the sins (Source). A bit crowded during our visit because they said that day (27 June, Saturday) is auspicious in Hinduism.
Huhu banyak mau belajar loorr tentang Indian Culture/Hinduism.
We only take 3 fast dip in the water because the water was dirty and oily (for me la).
But amazingly, the local even bath there. Dorang memang sudah biasa bah kali macam tu punya condition. And of course the water despite of its condition considered sacred for them.
Tapi kan, kalau tu tank well mantained, mesti bersih punya. Saya pun mandi kali sana (kali la O_O).
So, lepas dip dalam tu kolam, kami pigi mandi and tukar pakaian di satu lodge berdekatan dengan tu tank. Hehe ada juga tempat ganti baju sana (pondok warna biru ngam-ngam atas kepala saya) tapi mau yang tidak crowded and selesa punya bah. Then after bathed and changed clothes, bawa baju yang dipakai masuk dalam kolam tadi and letak saja di tangga kolam tu.

We also visited the statue shop. If i not mistaken, the shop name is Rajan Industries, school of art and museum.

Finally! It's a tiny hand. So cute la ^_^.

Chess sets. One of their amazing collection. Damn heavy lorr! Made of bronze!

Next, silk and saree shop. Shopping! shopping! Sitting next to me is the owner of the shop. And dia juga la tukang buat tu Silk.

Maybe macam buat songket juga, kan?

Upstairs is the silk and saree shop.

 Too many choices! Me and teddy also shopping for our engagement and wedding next year. Really take us a while to choose the best combination of color. haha akhirnya beli 4 helai kain untuk buat saree. 1 for engagement, 1 for wedding and the other 2 is special for me (I personally pick them ^_^).
Rambang mata pilih kain sampai inda sedar masa berlalu. Sekali keluar, mau gelap sudah.

Darasuram Airavatesvara Temple

Located in the town of Darasuram, near Kumbakonam in the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu.
This temple, built by Rajaraja Chola II in the 12th century CE is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Source : wikipedia). 

Its late in the evening, but we don't wanna miss a chance to visit this majestic temple, moreover it's just next to the silk and saree shop that we went. 

 You won't have enough of the art and architecture of the temples. The stone carvings, so amazing, so unique. No wonder this temples is listed on world heritage list by UNESCO.

 If not because of time limitation, I would explore and touch every corner of the temples to see how beautiful, amazing and unique the art and how exquisite the stone carvings is. Well, this is my first time! Of course I will be so sakai and jakun and...haha just any word for first timer la.

Day 4. Didn't take much photos. First temple we go today is the first temple that we went on 1st day. This is the last temples we went. There were a huge elephant! haha so exited!

 One of the widely worshiped Hindu god deity is Lord Ganesha: The Elephant God. I guess that's the root why they worshiping the elephant and favored it for a religious symbol.

So, secara ringkasnya itu saja la cerita tentang my first time experience at India. Memang priceless punya experience la pigi sini. Banyak culture dorang yang saya baru tahu. Time pigi India ni sempat juga la my hubby and his saudara-saudara jumpa tu orang-orang yang boleh tengok their past, present and future life. Actually, my hubby xmau tapi sebab his cousin insisted, so dia pun ikut juga la. Saya xikut sebab that's not my culture and I love mystery, life is a mystery that we need to unlock and experience walaupun dorang cakap semua memang sudah sedia tertulis, and paling penting mana ada fun hidup kalau semua kita tahu kan.

Tiruchirappalli/Trichy India part 2

Hi! Kopisanangan!

Bah sebagai opening post untuk bulan Ogos, kita sambung cerita jalan-jalan di India duuulu. ^-^

Part 2 is the story throughout Day 2 at Trichy India la.

So, untuk kasi pendek ni cerita saya post beberapa gambar la. Lazy lorr mau mengarang.

Day 2 pun trip semua pigi Temples saja. Memang pun trip pigi pilgrimage kan. Tapi saya pula trip trip pilgrimage. haha main-main saja la. For me trip ni untuk lebih mengenali culture dorang larr because my soon-to-be Fiance pun ada darah India juga.  

 Outside the temples. Inside the Temple memang tiada gambar la kami ambil coz prohibited kan.
Kami inda pigi tengok betul apa dia masak. heee nanti disuruh pula oleh pakcik ni membeli jualannya. 

 This is the common view la. Temples and Indian natives peoples. Totally forgot the full name of the temples we visit. Short-term memories betul la. Di part 1 punya post ada juga tu map and nama-nama temples yang kami visit.

I thought the kambing also patung macam di sebelah da tu. Rupanya kambing real. Haha berteduh dari terik mentari kali ni.

 Us ♥. :) ada po untuk kenang-kenangan kan.

 Nah ini pun antara gerai yang terdapat di luar temple. I'm so kagum dengan dorang yang boleh buat benda ni. Haha sebab I don't have that talent lorr.

 Bunga di tengahari. A bit disappointed dengan makan tengahari niari. Why? sebab kami pigi restoran vegeterian. Bukan inda sedap bha tapi sangat lapar kan and in this situation saya akan selalu terbayang nasi beriyani ayam, kari ayam, daging babi goreng ka roast ka, bila makan terasa jus daging da keluar...then tambah lagi kuah cecah yang sedap..haha meleleh bah air liur. 

Tudu bangat la. 

Apa pun yang penting dapat isi perut. Ada juga la 2/3 lauk vege da yang sedap. :))

 Kuil yang seterusnya. Ada kolam bunga teratai di luar. Lepas keluar dari temple baru pigi snap-snap sini. Haha me and the boyfriend saja yang paling exited ni ambil-ambil gambar. Kalau kamu mau tau bunga teratai/Lotus flower ni merupakan National Flower of India. Bagi dorang bunga teratai melambangkan ketuhanan (divinity), kesuburan (fertility), kekayaan (wealth), pengetahuan (knowledge) dan juga kesedaran (enlightenment). Lotus atau bunga teratai ni juga ada significantnya dalam Hindu punya culture - Lotus is a sacred flower for them la. Hehe baru saya pigi baca-baca bah juga ni sebab masa kami masuk temples and kalau dorang mau buat apa ceremony, biasanya akan ada ni lotus flower. Ada tu gambar di Part 1 punya post.

 Apamacam? haha minta puji no kopio. Saja bah mau kasi tengo ni gambar pakai tu baju. ^-^

 Nah walau pun gambar ni inda berapa clear (snap dari van masa on the way pigi next temple) tapi the story behind it are very interesting. Bagi saya interesting la..haha
Firstly, kamu tengok budak perempuan tu dari atas ke bawah...mana paling menarik perhatian??
Of course la bunga dekat kepala dia kan. Warna da yang menonjol sikit dari yang lain. Haha bayangkan kalau semua pelajar perempuan di sekolah tu pakai sebiji macam girl tu...hah kalau kamu dapat imagine, memang begitu la tu yang kamu akan nampak di sini. Baju uniform memang la sama kan, tapi jarang-jarang kalau student ni mau buat style rambut yang sama. So, kali pertama nampak situasi ni berlaku di India. Kami tak sempat ambil gambar student yang ramai-ramai tu. Our driver cerita ada certain school akan bagi semua pelajar dia basikal/beg untuk semua student dia (mungkin untuk menarik/menggalakkan lebih ramai budak pigi sekolah) tapi masalahnya kebanyakan guru-guru dia tidak berapa ambil peduli tentang kualiti pembelajaran da punya student. Hmmm makan gaji buta la kali. Last-last parent tu hantar anak pigi sekolah sekadar ambil tu bantuan. Lepas dapat tu basikal, ada parent yang jual n ada yang guna sendiri untuk kerja harian.

Banyan Tree

ehemmm..macam panjang juga cerita ni kan. Bilang malas mau mengarang. Haha apa boleh buat every pictures ada cerita istimewa da sendiri. Nah gambar pokok di atas and di bawah ni merupakan gambar National Tree of India. Pokok ni merupakan simbol kesatuan bagi negara dorang. Memang ngam la bha dengan keutuhan pokok itu sendiri kan.

Selain jadi national tree, masyarakat yang menganut agama Hindu menganggap pokok ini suci dan sudah menjadi tradisi mereka untuk worship pokok ni sejak dari dulu-dulu lagi (ada la tu da punya significant napa dorang mau worship). Nah mau tahu lebih lanjut pigi cari di google la k. Panjang juga ni kalau mau cerita semua sini.

Tuuuna si aman pun sedang sembahyang kali tu. Macam inda ngam pula ni filter kana guna kan. Sudah la si aman ada gelap sikit, inda nampak suda kepala dia. hehe

India mini market - pigi beli minum dulu ^^.

Saya lupa sudah rasa tu coke. Tapi memang rasa macam coke juga bah. :))

Orang tempatan

Ini baru ngam. Klasik. Banyak pula gambar saya dengan mini market dorang ni. haha.
